This is for the approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for the Daffin Park Multi-Station Playground Structures additional sidewalk and curbs installation with GameTime c/o Dominica Recreation Products, Inc. in an Amount Not to Exceed $49,557.

The Recreation and Leisure Services Division will utilize this equipment to create Savannah’s First Signature Playground which will be located at Daffin Park, at the corner of East Victory Drive and Waters Ave. (District 4)

The construction of the signature playground is one of the capstone projects of the Recreation Reimagined initiative, which is focused on creating and providing high quality recreation facilities and experiences for residents. When completed, the playground will serve ages 2-12, be fully ADA compliant, and include a new restroom and splashpad.

This modification of $49,556.45 includes additional services to pour sidewalks, slabs and concrete curbing throughout the project. Originally, this scope was to be provided by the site contractor. However, amending the scope of GameTime provides cost saving and workflow efficiency of the project.

This was approved by Council on November 26, 2024, in the amount of $1,147,692. The total amount with this modification will be $1,197,248.40.
