This is to procure two centrifugal water-cooled chillers from Trane U.S, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $571,842.  
 
The Department of Facilities Maintenance will have the chillers installed at the Savannah Civic Center. The chillers will provide a long-term solution to cool the Civic Center. The new chillers will be one 175-ton chiller and a 250-ton chiller with five-year parts, labor, and refrigerant warranty. The chiller will be installed in the interior of the building to alleviate noise complaints. Currently, a rental chiller is cooling the building, which is located outside the building, as a temporary solution.  
 
The Facilities Maintenance Department is using Omnia Cooperative Contract 3341 with a maturity date of August 31, 2027. Per Division 10 section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the use of contracts from other governmental agencies’ contract pricing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method of the City of Savannah's Purchasing Ordinance.
