Description

The Petitioner requests an amendment of the Zoning Map from TN-1 (Traditional Neighborhood-1) to TC-2 (Traditional Commercial-2) in association with a proposed use for a Banquet or Reception Hall at 912 Drayton Street. The property is located in the Victorian District and includes a large structure built in 1980 with an under-roof area of just over 10,300 square feet. The structure was previously in use as a Masonic Temple. 

The request is contingent upon approval of a concurrent request to amend the FLUM for ‘Traditional Commercial’ use (26-002038-ZA-FLUM).  

Only the rezoning of the subject parcel is under consideration at present. Variances to development standards of the requested zoning district cannot be considered until a decision is made for the rezoning by City Council.

 

Recommendation

On June 2, 2026, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the request to rezone 912 Drayton Street to TC-2.
