| Description The Petitioner requests a Zoning Map amendment from R-A [Residential Agriculture (County)] and RSF-6 [Residential Single-Family–6 (City)] to a Planned Development designation to establish the Argyle Grove Planned Development and apply site-specific development standards to the property. The proposed 317-acre mixed-use community includes residential and commercial uses. At full buildout, anticipated by 2038, the development would accommodate up to 2,450 dwelling units, including single-family detached, single-family attached, and multifamily housing, as well as approximately 24,000 square feet of commercial space. Only the rezoning of the subject parcels is under consideration at present. Variances to development standards of the requested zoning district cannot be considered until a decision is made for the rezoning by City Council. This petition also supports an annexation request for 0 Fort Argyle Road.

| Recommendation On May 12, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the request to rezone the subject properties from R-A and RSF-6 to a Planned Development designation within the City of Savannah to adopt and apply new development standards to the subject property, identified as the Argyle Grove Planned Development. | |
