Description

Recommend approval to procure 133 MobileCOM Licenses from Centralsquare Technologies, LLC in the amount of $199,507.58. The Information Technology Department is purchasing these licenses for SPD to use in conjunction with Mobile Data Terminals. These licenses are necessary for each officer to access the database, track, report and communicate with dispatch and record daily operation and emergency situations. The license enables each user service and location data with the ability to upload and update command staff. The software license allows responders to be more situationally aware, identify conditions and locate emergencies in a timely manner with real time information from dispatch and records.

These licenses will be procured through Chatham County IT/Purchasing as the County runs the 911 dispatch center utilizing the Sole Source vendor Centralsquare. The total amount of licenses needed is 133 and will be used by both Fire and Police staff.
