23. Authorize the City Manager to Execute Contract Modification No. 1 with Central Industries (LOCAL) for the Upgrade of the Fueling Station at the Sanitation Headquarters in the Amount of $74,661. (Fleet Services)

Description

This is for the approval of Modification No. 1 for the upgrade of the fueling station at the Sanitation Headquarters on Highway 80 with Central Industries, in the amount of $74,661. Fleet Services Department is requesting this modification to the existing contract, which was originally approved by City Council on November 26, 2024, for $166,339. The existing fuel dispensers are more than 20 years old and no longer meet current safety standards, creating an increased risk of equipment failure and inefficiencies. Including this modification, the total contract amount will be $241,000.    
 
This modification is for the removal and replacement of existing fuel dispensers and tank monitoring systems at the Sanitation Headquarters. The upgraded system will improve safety, regulatory compliance, monitoring capabilities, and transaction efficiency.
