24. Authorize the City Manager to Execute a Contract for (2) Heavy Duty Rescue Trucks from Ten-8 Fire & Safety, c/o Pierce Manufacturing in an Amount Not to Exceed $2,529,253. (Fleet Services)

Description

This contract is for the procurement of two (2) Heavy Duty Rescue Trucks from Ten-8 Fire & Safety, c/o Pierce Manufacturing in the amount of $2,529,252.  

 
The new Heavy Duty Rescue Trucks will be used by the Savannah Fire Department to support emergency response operations throughout the city. These units will replace units #9503 and #9504, which are scheduled for replacement in the FY26 vehicle/equipment replacement plan. The new apparatus will enhance operational readiness, reliability, and response capability. 

 

Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract. The contract used for this procurement is under Sourcewell Contract #113021, a purchasing cooperative that is set to expire 2/10/2026.
