GOAL 1: Increase Public Safety and Our Collective Sense of Security
Description

This is to procure an annual contract with A-1 Uniforms in an amount not to exceed $150,000. Savannah Fire operates 16 fire stations and employs more than 325 uniformed staff who rely on proper uniforms every day to perform their duties safely, effectively, and professionally.

Uniforms are essential for safety, identification, and professionalism. They help ensure that firefighters are protected in hazardous situations, easily recognizable during emergencies, and present a unified, professional appearance that reflects the City’s commitment to excellence in public safety.

This contract ensures a consistent and reliable supply of uniforms, prevents operational disruptions, and supports the Fire Department in fulfilling its mission to protect life and property. This action demonstrates the City’s dedication to providing first responders with the tools and resources they need to serve the community at the highest level.

This contract will cover all uniform needs for the Fire Department, supporting safety, readiness, and professionalism across all 16 stations. It is recommended to approve the renewal of the Savannah Fire Uniform contract with A-1 Uniforms.
