This is for the approval to execute a contract for the procurement and installation of a multi-station playground structure and rubberized surfacing for the renovation of the Sunset Park Playground with GameTime c/o Dominica Recreation Products, Inc., in the amount of $317,809.

The Multi-Station Play Structure will replace the aging playground equipment at Sunset Park.  Sunset Park currently contains aging playground equipment that has reached the end of its useful life, along with ongoing drainage challenges that negatively impact usability and maintenance. This project will modernize the playground, improve site drainage, and provide a safer, more accessible recreational environment for families. The improvements will reduce flooding and long-term maintenance needs, introduce new play features, and enhance overall park safety and convenience. 

This investment supports the City’s Recreation Reimagined initiative, which prioritizes the development of high-quality, inclusive, and accessible recreation facilities for Savannah residents. Enhancing neighborhood parks strengthens community well-being and aligns with the City’s commitment to maintaining safe, engaging public spaces.

Pursuant to Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may procure goods and services through a cooperative purchasing agreement. This procurement utilizes the Omnia Partners Cooperative Contract for Playground and Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Site Accessories, Surfacing, and Related Products and Services with GameTime c/o Dominica Recreation Products, Inc. (Contract No. 2017001134) which expires on June 30, 2026.
