Description The City of Savannah is planning to construct a new lift station (Lift Station 217) that will be located at Pine Meadows Drive and to upgrade the force main pipes leading to the Travis Field Water Reclamation Facility. The upgrade will increase capacity and serve growing new residential and industrial development in the Southwest Quadrant of the City. The City must acquire a combination of permanent easements and fee simple land from private property owners to facilitate this project. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, the City Real Estate Department has procured third-party appraisals of the required land rights and made offers of the appraised values to the owner. All four of the owners have agreed to sell for appraised value. A summary of ownerships, location, and value/price is provided below: Recommend approval to acquire requisite land rights from affected property owners based on values totaling $244,600, plus closing costs. Additionally, request authorization for the City Manager to execute any associated closing documents.
