Water Resources is planning a water main extension along Dawes Avenue to improve capacity and to upgrade infrastructure for future redevelopment in the area.   To facilitate this project, the City must acquire a 0.011 acre (or 470 square foot) permanent easement and a 0.045 acre (or 1,950 square foot) temporary construction easement across a parcel owned by Skywater-Savannah LLC.  The City Real Estate Department made an offer to the owner to purchase the easements based on appraised unit values as reported by Chatham County Property Appraiser, and the Property Owner has accepted the offer.    

Recommend approval to acquire requisite easements from the affected property owner at an agreed upon price of $600.00, plus closing costs. Additionally request authorization for the City Manager to execute any associated closing documents.
