| Description Authorize the City Manager to Rescind Award for (2) Super Heavy Duty Rescue Pumpers in the amount of $2,000,000 from Sutphen and award (2) Enforcer Pumpers to Pierce Manufacturing in the Amount of $2,660,000. This recommendation follows documented concerns regarding the reliability, quality, and support associated with previously purchased Sutphen apparatus and is intended to ensure the Savannah Fire Department maintains dependable emergency response capabilities. The Savannah Fire Department and Fleet Services have experienced ongoing issues with Sutphen apparatus, including mechanical defects, quality-control problems, delayed parts availability, and inadequate post-sale support. Staff recommends replacing the order with two Pierce Enforcer Pumpers, which are recognized for reliability, service support, and parts availability.
