This is for an annual contract for Armed Security Services for Various City Locations to Sunstates Security, LLC in the amount of $3,300,000.00.

This contract provides armed security services at the following locations: City Hall, Government Operations Headquarters, Ellis Square, Coastal Georgia Center, I & D Water, President Street Plant, Forsyth Café, Visitor Center, Adams Complex, and City Garages in addition to special details upon request. Sunstates Security has served as the City of Savannah's primary security services provider since 2016. During that time, the company has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting City facilities, employees, and the public. In addition to providing reliable daily security operations, Sunstates has repeatedly shown exceptional flexibility by staffing emergency and short-notice assignments with minimal disruption while maintaining effective oversight of City facilities. 
 
The quality of Sunstates' personnel has also been recognized at the corporate level. Several officers assigned to the City of Savannah account have received company-wide awards for outstanding performance, and one supervisor was recognized as the company's Officer of the Year, reflecting the high caliber of personnel assigned to the City's contract.    
 
This procurement was conducted using the Request for Proposals (RFP) method, which evaluates qualifications and overall value in addition to cost. Evaluation criteria included the firm's qualifications and experience, employee wages and benefits, training programs, references, local vendor participation, and proposed fees. 
 
Eleven   proposals were received in response to the RFP. Following an initial evaluation, the highest-ranked firms were shortlisted and invited to present before the selection committee. The committee consisted of representatives from Risk Management, the Savannah Police Department, Public Works, Internal Audit, and Parking Services. Upon completion of the presentations, fee proposals were opened and incorporated into the final evaluation scores. 
 
The bid was advertised, opened, and reviewed. The contract term expires on December 14, 2022. This contract also includes four (4) available annual renewal options. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days. The bidders were:
