The construction scope involves expanding the current ONSE office into a portion of the adjacent vacant storefront. This work includes constructing new staff workstations for the additional staff, building a new, larger conference room, expanding the current HVAC system into the new area, and installing new vents and drains on the roof to address the current roof leaks. The newly expanded areas will also include the installation of new windows in the buildout area to enhance natural light.

The City will use a State of Georgia contract for Indefinite Quantity Construction (EzIQC) to perform this project to meet time constraints and City ordinance requirements. The State’s contract is considered a convenience contract that is available for use by all State, City, and County public entities. The purpose of this contract is to provide multi-traded general construction services to accomplish small to medium-sized projects for repair, alteration, modernization, rehabilitation, renovation, and minor new construction to infrastructure, buildings, structures, or other real property.  

Per Section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is the State of Georgia contract for Indefinite Quantity Construction (Contract #99999-SPD-20200901). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on August 1, 2026.
