| Description The Daffin Park Turf Fields Improvements project includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform work in constructing new sports fields at Daffin Park. Work includes but is not limited to clearing, grading, irrigation, underdrains, turf establishment (sprigging), and site improvements. The bid was advertised, and two responsive bids meeting the established minimum qualifications were received. The two bidders were: XGD Systems, LLC (Jensen Beach, FL) (D) - $3,823,840.43 Sports Turf Company, Inc. (Carrollton, GA) (D) - $4,971.551.55 (D) = Non-local, Non-DBE XGD Systems, LLC submitted the lowest responsive bid. XGD Systems, LLC’s total base bid was $3,823,840.43, however, City Staff coordinated a value engineering effort resulting in savings of $260,000 for a reduced total contract amount of $3,563,840.43. | |
