Description Notification of an emergency procurement of yard waste processing from Waste Management in the amount of $135,659.89. The Sanitation Department used the yard waste processing services to continue processing yard waste that was collected from residents. The vendor that was under contract was no longer able to service the City due to a fire at its location. This was an emergency purchase because without this service all yard waste pickup and processing for the citizens of Savannah would have to be terminated. The agreement with the vendor was from September 2020 to March 2021 when the new contract was awarded. The Sanitation Department had an RFP published for this service and awarded a new contract from that solicitation. This Emergency Purchase ensured that Waste Management processed all yard waste until a new contract was awarded. | |
