Description Recommend approval to award a contract to dredge the pond at the Industrial and Domestic Water Treatment Plant with C& M Dredging, Inc. in the amount of $131,250. This contract will be used to dredge the alum sludge from the pond to treat raw water to potable water standards. The sludge is then transferred to the drying cell on site. The last time the 25' pond at the Industrial and Domestic Water Treatment Plant was dredged was in 2018. Dredging the pond routinely is required to meet Georgia EPD standards. Bid was advertised, opened, and reviewed. delivery: As needed. Term:Net 30 days. The bidders were: L.B. C & M Dredging, Inc. (Leesburg, FL ) (D) $131,250 Bio-Nomic Services, Inc.(Belmont, NC) (D) $140,105 L.B. indicates low bidder. (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE business.
