Description The petitioner is requesting approval of a map amendment to rezone ~0.9 acres located at West 42nd Street (PIN 20073 31009) between Montgomery Street and Martin Luther King Jr., Boulevard from TN-2 (Traditional Neighborhood - 2) to TC-1 (Traditional Commercial - 1). The intent of the rezoning is to develop the subject property and adjacent parcel located at 414 West 42nd Street as a three-story apartment building with eleven units. Parking would be provided in the rear of the building. Access to the proposed apartment building would be through an access easement facing Montgomery Street.
Two, three-story apartments were recently approved at 411 W. 42nd Street by the Historic Preservation Commission. The proposed apartments associated with the rezoning would share the pool amenities located within the two buildings being constructed on the corner of Montgomery Street and W. 42nd Street. | |
Recommendation The Planning Commission recommended approval of the map amendment to rezone West 42nd Street (PIN 20073 31009) from TN-2 to TC-1 under the following conditions:
