| Description This contract is for the procurement of one (1) mobile walking excavator from Great Southern Equipment LLC., in the amount of $542,217. The mobile walking excavator will be used by the Stormwater Management Division to maintain the drainage canals in the City. The annual maintenance of the canals ensures positive drainage and reduces the incidence of flooding during rain events. The mobile walking excavator is unique to the City’s fleet and the main feature of this machine is its ability to move in a spider-like fashion with its’ four independently operating legs allowing it to overcome many terrain obstacles with minimal environmental impact. The new mobile walking excavator will be replacing unit #7243, which is a planned replacement for FY23.
Great Southern Equipment LLC., was the only bidder that was able to meet all requirements of the bid specifications. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days.
