Description This contract is for residential and recycling carts with Wastequip, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $800,000. The Sanitation Department provides City residents with residential and recycling carts for the safe and effective collection of household solid waste and recyclables. This contract will create efficiencies by combining two separate vendor contracts into one allowing uniform carts and parts. The contract will be used to supply carts to new residents, replace damaged/worn carts, and replace existing carts that have exceeded their useful life. In addition, this contract will allow the department to have an adequate supply of carts available when needed.
This procurement was made through a cooperative purchasing agreement with Sourcewell. Cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method in Division 10 Section 4-4152 of the City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance. Contract 041521-TOT was competitively bid and awarded to Toter, LLC. A master agreement with Wastequip, Inc. was signed for a four-year term with two renewal options. The contract expires on May 28, 2025. Terms: Net 30 days. Delivery: As requested.
The vendor is: C.C. Wastequip, Inc (Statesville, NC)(D) $800,000 A pre-proposal meeting was not conducted as these goods are being procured through the use of a cooperative purchasing agreement. (D) Indicates non-local, non-DBE business.
