This contract is for modification no. 1 and the renewal of an annual contract for Victory Drive median maintenance with Russell Landscape (126 Nettles Dr. Savannah, GA)^(B) in an amount not to exceed $39,060. This contract will be used by the Park and Tree Department to provide grounds maintenance services for Victory Drive median starting at Ogeechee Road and running east to Downing Avenue. Maintenance will include mowing turfgrass and removing litter, weeds, and/or wild growth in the shrubbery, landscaped beds, and mulched areas. The City’s Park and Tree Department will be the primary user of the contract and Russell Landscape Savannah, Inc. has provided these services in the past with success. 

The costs will increase by $3,060 in a vendor-requested rate increase due to escalating costs. The existing rates are $666.35/wk for grounds maintenance and $625/ea for shrubbery maintenance. The increase would raise those rates to $725/wk for grounds maintenance, and $680/ea for shrubbery maintenance. The contract was originally approved by City Council on August 30, 2018, and this will be the last year to renew.

Approval
