Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to procure a slope mower from Power Trac Inc. in the amount of $48,900. This unit will replace unit 2204 which has reached its asset life. The mower will be used in maintaining ditch and canal slopes. This is the only known piece of equipment that is capable of safely mowing up to a 45 degree slope. This mower is an identical replacement for the mower currently owned and operated by the Stormwater Management Department for mowing ditches and canal slopes.  This is a sole source because this is the only known supplier of this specialized equipment.
