This construction contract with Rowe Construction in the amount of $289,425.40 is an interior refresh to the Liberty City Community Center located at 1401 Mills B. Lane Boulevard.

The project will address needed interior improvements to the facility, including select window replacements, painting, and electrical upgrades. Deteriorated ceiling, walls, and floor finishes will be replaced with more durable materials, and outdated bathroom and kitchen fixtures will be replaced to improve the facility and reduce ongoing maintenance needs.

A State of Georgia contract will be used to meet the project’s schedule requirements and City ordinance requirements. This is a convenience contract available for use by state and local public entities for small to medium-sized construction projects, including repairs, alterations, modernization, rehabilitation, renovation, and minor new construction.  

Per Section 2-4154 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services  through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract for Indefinite Quantity Construction (Contract #99999-SPD-S20260602-0026). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires on June 2, 2027.

Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with Rowe Construction through state contract for the Liberty City Community Center Interior Refresh project in the amount of $289,425.40.
