The Tractor with 25-foot Boom Mower will be assigned to the Park & Tree Department’s Greenscapes Maintenance Division and will replace unit #5284 as a planned replacement under the City’s equipment replacement plan. The equipment will be used to maintain the City’s ditches and canals, providing the reach and cutting capacity necessary to manage vegetation along drainage channels and other difficult-to-access areas. The competitive bidding process was not utilized. Per Section 2-4152 of the City's purchasing ordinance, the City is authorized to purchase goods or services through a state contract, #99999-001-SPD0000177-0016, which expires May 31, 2027.
