Description

Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 2 for up to $50,000 and the annual contract renewal (FY2021) for up to $250,000 with Beers Housing, Inc.

The Code Compliance Department uses the lot clearing contract to cut and clean lots when property owners fail to respond to Notices of Violations. This modification is needed to increase the contract to allow the Code Compliance Department to clear lots as required for the remainder of the year.

The original contract was bid and approved by Council on June 2, 2019 in the amount of $120,000. Contract Modification No. 1 in the amount of $200,000 was approved by Council on February 13, 2020. The total amount of the contract to date, including both modifications is $370,000. There are three renewal options available.
