Description

Recommend approval of Contract Modification No.1 for electrical repair services for up to $350,000 with Aiken Harper Electrical.

The original contract is used by The Water Resources Department, and other City departments as needed. The services are used to keep effective electrical operations through repairs, maintenance and replacement as needed to City facilities.

The modification is needed for $225,000 for installation of emergency standby generators for the City’s IT fiberoptic network (reimbursable by a FEMA Grant) and $125,000 to ensure that the electrical services are available to all City departments on an as needed basis for the remainder of 2020.

This contract was originally approved by Council on November 18, 2019 in the amount of $980,000. The total amount of the contract to date, including proposed Contract Modification No.1 is $1,330,000.
