Description This contract is for the procurement of a centrifuge service agreement with GEA Mechanical Equipment US, Inc. in the amount of $30,396 The Industrial and Water Department will utilize this agreement for the maintenance of the centrifuge. The centrifuge will be checked for proper operation and make any needed repairs upon inspection. The maintenance agreement will ensure that sludge does not overrun storage capacity, and compromise the water treatment process by failing to properly dispose of sludge during the removal process.
The Abercorn Creek Plant centrifuge is used in the dewatering sludge process from the incoming raw water prior to disposal at the landfill. This is a sole source procurement because the vendor is the proprietary manufacturer. S.S. GEA Mechanical Equipment US, Inc. (Naperville, IL) (D) $ 30,396
