Description

Recommend approval of a contract for a Credit Card Payment Processing System with Windcave, Inc. in the amount of 35,000 per year. Mobility and Parking Services Department will use the contract to install credit card readers at each processing station within the five City parking garages.

The system allows for payments to be processed when the garages are unattended by City staff.  It will also store transactions as a backup in the event of network loss and process those transactions later when the network is accessible again. This ensures the appropriate parking garage fees are collected at all times.

The Contract will have a term of four years and expire on September 14, 2024. This is a sole source because Windcave, Inc. is the only authorized credit card reader provider that can integrate with the new gate systems that are located at the City’s parking garages.
