This contract is for the procurement of (1) 55–Ton Lowboy Trailer from Yancey Bros., c/o Trail King, in the amount of $111,556. The new trailers will be used by the Stormwater Management Division to transport various types of medium and compact equipment, such as compact and mini excavators, and other machinery to job sites throughout the city. These trailers will support ongoing stormwater maintenance and infrastructure improvement efforts by increasing the efficiency and safety of equipment transport. The new lowboy trailer will be used by the Stormwater Management Division to haul heavy-duty equipment such as excavators, wheel loaders, and other large machinery to various job sites throughout the city. It will replace unit 8256, a 2008 Trail King lowboy, which is scheduled for replacement in the FY25 equipment replacement plan. Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract.
