Description This contract is for the procurement of three (3) 30-ton equipment trailers and one (1) 24-ton equipment trailer from Yancey Bros., c/o Towmaster Trailers, in the amount of $167,359. The new trailers will be used by the Stormwater Management Division to transport various types of medium and compact equipment, such as compact and mini excavators, and other machinery to job sites throughout the city. These trailers will support ongoing stormwater maintenance and infrastructure improvement efforts by increasing the efficiency and safety of equipment transport. Two (2) of the 30-ton trailers and the 24-ton trailer are planned replacements for units 6274, 5203, and 2216, which are scheduled replacement in the FY25 equipment replacement plan. The third 30-ton trailer is being procured using cost savings resulting from downgrading equipment within the Stormwater Management Division. This purchase helps to ensure that our fire departments operate in the safest environment possible. Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract. The contract used for this procurement is Sourcewell contract #092922-MNR, which is set to expire 12/20/2026. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days. The vendor is: C.C.
