This contract is to award an annual contract for Geotechnical Engineering Services to Whitaker Laboratory (LOCAL) in an amount not to exceed $250,000. The City of Savannah has ongoing needs for geotechnical engineering services for City projects across multiple departments. The services to be performed under this contract will be on an “as-needed” or “on-call” basis. The work to be performed may include geotechnical reports, soils engineering work, slope stability analysis, design of foundations, evaluation of foundations, and performing third-party reviews of geotechnical designs.

​ ​The Consultant will be expected to provide written reports, technical memorandums, calculations, and other documentation as necessary, and provide engineering and field support during construction activities. From time to time, there is also a need for third-party advice during construction activities.

​ The RFP was advertised, opened, and reviewed. A pre-proposal conference was conducted, and three vendors attended. The contract term will be one year from date of Council approval and will also include four annual renewal options. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days. The Proposers were:
