Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute an annual contract with Advanced Building Group for janitorial services at the following westside facilities: Mary Flournoy Golden Age Center, Tremont Park Community Center, Tomkins Center, Facilities Maintenance and Operations Building, Greenscapes Facility, Code Compliance Center, Liberty Community Center, and Tatemville Community Center; in the estimated amount of $60,000. This annual contract will provide janitorial services Services encompassing approximately 48,250 square feet. The City is currently using month-to-month agreements with several different janitorial contractors. A selection committee met and reviewed all proposals received and gave Advanced Building Group the highest score among submitted proposals for this event.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP) which evaluates criteria in addition to cost. The criteria used for this RFP were qualifications and experience, methodology and project approach, references, LDBE participation, local vendor participation, and fees.  The Office of Business Opportunity assigned an open goal with a total of 5 points going to LDBE. The responses for participation were scored by the Office of Business Opportunity.

The contract term shall be from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
