Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute an annual contract for janitorial services with Advanced Building Group for several community and resource centers including: the Eastside Golden Age Center, Eastside Regional Community Center, Eastside Gymnasium, W.W. Law Building, Delaware Center, Entrepreneurial Center, Daffin Park Activities Building, Film and Tourism Office, Daffin Park Pavilion, Bonaventure Cemetery Offices and Restroom, and the Pennsylvania Avenue Resource Center in the estimated amount of $80,772. This annual contract will provide janitorial services Services will encompass approximately 68,640 square feet. The City is currently using month-to-month agreements with several different janitorial contractors.  A selection committee met and reviewed all proposals received and gave Advanced Building Group the highest score among submitted proposals for this event.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP) which evaluates criteria in addition to cost.  The criteria used for this RFP were qualifications and experience, methodology and project approach, references, LDBE participation, local vendor participation, and fees. The Office of Business Opportunity assigned an open goal with a total of 5 points going to LDBE. The responses for participation were scored by the Office of Business Opportunity

The contract term shall be from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
