Description Notification of emergency rental of a generator from American Spot Cooling, Inc. for the Northwest Police Precinct in the amount of $35,584. On September 2, 2019, Governor Kemp issued a mandatory evacuation of Chatham County. In addition, on September 3, 2019 a state of emergency was declared by the Mayor of Savannah, as the projected track of Hurricane Dorian showed it as a major threat to the life and safety of the citizens of Savannah. As the City’s human resources were deployed to help maintain the safety of its citizens and to protect property and infrastructure, it became important to provide shelter locations for employees in the event sustained winds were in excess of 39 mph. A 500kw generator was rented and delivered, on an emergency basis, from American Spot Cooling, Inc. for a two-week period during the event. American Spot Cooling, Inc. was able to provide the generator including setup and delivery on short notice. | |
