​​Authorize the City Manager to Execute a contract for a Two-Year Mower Lease Agreement with John Deere c/o Beard Equipment in an amount not to Exceed $639,404.40 ($319,7402.20 annually). The lease will provide 44 mowers and one material collection system over a two year term to support operations in the Park & Tree Department, Savannah Police Department, Savannah Fire Department, and Water Reclamation ​Department. ​The leased equipment will include twenty-one (21) 60” zero-turn mowers, three (3) 54” zero-turn mowers, two (2) 54”  stand-on mowers, eleven (11) 48” zero-turn mowers, four (4) 7’ pull-behind finishing mowers, three (3) 10’ pull-behind finishing mowers, and one (1) material collection system. ​This lease will ensure that City staff have access to updated and reliable mowing equipment, which will help maintain ​public spaces efficiently and support the delivery of essential services across multiple departments.

This lease agreement was made through a Sourcewell cooperative contract  # 011723-JDC, expires 4/14/2027. Cooperative purchasing is authorized as an appropriate procurement method in Division 10 Section 2-4152 of the City of Savannah’s purchasing ordinance.
