This contract is for a traffic control center with Stage Front in the amount of $314,654. The Mobility Services Department will use the traffic control center to help reduce traffic congestion, enhance travel safety, provide traveler information, and generally improve mobility for the residents and visitors of Savannah. This project will allow Stage Front to develop an operation layout and provide/install equipment in the City of Savannah’s traffic control center space located in the Administration Building at the Floyd Adams Jr. Municipal Complex. Work will include installing a new video wall, mounting system, workstations, and associated equipment for the traffic control center.

Major functions of the traffic control center will include the following:

1. Data collection and processing.
2. Traffic operations and control.
3. Information dispersal.
4. Special event and incident management.

The method used for this procurement was the request for proposals (RFP), which evaluates criteria in addition to the cost. The proposals were evaluated on the basis of the proposer’s qualifications and experience including support capabilities, technical capabilities, references, DBE participation goals, and fees.

Five (5) proposals were received in response to this RFP. All proposals were reviewed and fully evaluated by a selection committee of City staff. The proposal was advertised, opened, and reviewed. Delivery: As needed. Terms: Net 30 days.
