The request to purchase the bucket truck from One Nation, LLC was presented at the May Commission Meeting. The point of contact at One Nation could not fulfill the order, as he did not return any phone calls or emails. In his bid response to the Commission, he reported that he could fulfill the requirement within 30 days of receiving a PO. The Purchasing Department maintained constant communication with the vendor from May until August with no success. Due to the lack of response, the PO was canceled.  After canceling the PO with One Nation, the Purchasing Department reached out to the second bidder, JC Lewis of Savannah, who was unable to provide the unit. Given the inability to secure the vehicle from the initial and secondary bidders, Purchasing sought alternatives through State and Cooperative Contracts. Wade Ford of Smyrna, GA, is able to provide the bucket truck per the specifications noted below. The pricing of $194,514 is off the GA State Contract, considering that the bidding process (RFQ 2024-0016) was not successful with One Nation, LLC, JC Lewis, and Fouts Commercial Vehicle. Below are the prices collected and negotiated for the Bucket Truck, which includes delivery. Estimated time of delivery is ten (10) months (July 2025).
