Description

This contract is for the procurement of 36 Police Interceptor SUVs from Santee Automotive in an amount not to exceed $2,348,144. This purchase will provide replacements for marked patrol vehicles in the City’s fleet and will also include the installation of warning equipment for the 36 patrol vehicles. Utilizing this state contract ensures current pricing is confirmed and the vehicles are delivered in 2025. If the state contract is not used, the process would be delayed, and the ordering bank for vehicles would close, meaning no vehicles could be ordered until it reopens in late 2025 and vehicles would not be received until 2026. These vehicles will be used by the Savannah Police Department Patrol Division for routine law enforcement services, enhancing public safety and security for the citizens of Savannah, and serving a critical function under emergency conditions.
