Description

Recommend approval to authorize the City Manager to execute a lease with Williams Scotsman, Inc. for a 56’X36’ office trailer in the amount of $26,261.30.  This trailer will support the Sanitation Department, and was procured through the GSA Contract GS-07F-0257M. The City is in the process of renovating the recently purchased Waste Management facility at 1809 US 80 West Garden City, Savannah, GA 31408. As part of this renovation staff will be relocated and will utilize a temporary mobile trailer for office space while the necessary renovations are being completed. The contract includes delivery, setup and leasing of the trailer for six months, as well as disassembly and removal at the end of the lease term.

The GSA contractor will be used to perform this project to meet time constraints and City ordinance requirements. The GSA contract is considered a convenience contract that is available for use by all State, City, and County public entities. The GSA used a competitive bidding procedure to select Williams Scotsman, Inc to serve as the sole provider of these services for this region.
