This contract is for the procurement of (1) Mini Excavator and (1) Compact Track Loader with mulching attachments from Yancey Bros. c/o Caterpillar Inc., in the amount of $197,716. This equipment will be a fleet addition. The mini excavator and the compact track loader with mulching attachments will be utilized by the Stormwater Management Division’s ditch crews to efficiently access and maintain drainage infrastructure in narrow and confined areas. This will enhance service delivery by improving response times and increasing operational efficiency. This procurement is made possible through significant cost savings achieved by the Division’s decision to downgrade from a larger excavator, allowing those funds to be redirected toward adding these essential pieces of equipment to the fleet.

Per Section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract. The contract used for this procurement is under Sourcewell contract# 011723-CAT, a purchasing cooperative that is set to expire 4/14/2027. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days.
