Description

This contract is for the procurement of repair services of Fire Pumper Unit #8509, in the amount of $62,946. Fire Pumper Unit #8509 (2018 Sutphen Fire Pumper) was involved in a traffic accident in which the City was not at fault. An independent estimate has assessed the total damage repair cost at $62,946. The vehicle has since been out of service pending authorization for repairs.

 

Timely repairs to public safety equipment directly support the City's strategic goal of ensuring a safe and resilient community. A fully functioning fleet is essential to delivering uninterrupted emergency services. Maintaining a state of operational readiness within the Fire Department aligns with broader City goals of public safety, emergency preparedness, and responsible stewardship of City assets. It also reflects the City's commitment to maintaining high service standards.

S.S. William Fire Apparatus (Atlanta, GA) (D) $62,946

 

This is a sole source because Williams Fire Apparatus is the only certified Sutphen fire truck repair vendor in the southeast. A pre-bid conference was not conducted as this is a sole-source procurement.
