Title 9. Approval to Procure One 2020 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor from Coggin Automotive in the Amount of $45,061.50
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Funding will be used to procure a replacement vehicle for a 2015 police unit. Staff issued a request for proposals in September, which was the third attempt at receiving quotes for pursuit-rated vehicles. No proposals were received; however, the Savannah Airport Commission's Purchasing Department reached out to Wade Ford, who is the state-approved contract holder for police vehicles, and to Coggin Automotive, and were able to obtain direct quotes for vehicles. The purchase price includes the vehicle, installation of APD light package, graphics and wiring to receive radio and communication equipment. Following the quotes, Wade Ford notified Savannah Airport Commission that they were unable to honor the quote because the vehicles were no longer available. This is a 2020 budgeted item. The following quotes were received:
Coggin Automotive, Jacksonville, FL $45,061.50 Wade Ford, Smyrna, GA $44,296.61
