Title
32. Authorize the City Manager to Accept Donation of a 1.15 Acres Property Located Off East 60th Street (PIN 20104 24023).
Strategic Priority
Good Government
Description

Edward Garvin and John Williams have petitioned to donate property located along East 60th Street (PIN 20104 24023) next to the Harry S. Truman Parkway. The property contains 1.15 acres and is comprised of five separate blocks subdivided by City (unpaved and unimproved) right-of-ways. The property is reportedly wetlands, has legal but no physical access, is located within a flood hazard zone, and would be very challenging to permit for any form of development. The property is useful for the City to serve as an additional buffer, flood plain conservation, and a scenic amenity to the Truman Tide to Town Project Phase II B. Staff have completed a title search and environmental assessment and no concerns were identified.

The petition has been reviewed and approved by the Park and Tree, Development Services, Water & Sewer Planning & Engineering, Stormwater, Traffic Engineering, Planning & Urban Design, and Real Estate Services Departments. Also request the City Manager be authorized to execute associated closing documents.
