| Description Recommend approval to procure one full size crew cab pick-up truck (F250) from Wade Ford in the amount of $27,244. This truck will be used by the Medical Services Officer (MSO) for the Savannah Fire Department to respond immediately to high-priority emergency calls when the situation requires supervisory assistance and decision-making authority regarding medical care. A pick-up truck is needed for these calls to transport EMS equipment, firefighter gear, fire extinguishers, and medical supplies. The MSO will be on call as needed for emergency events at all times. Per Section 2-4154 of the City’s purchasing ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a state contract. The contract used for this procurement is a State of Georgia contract for emergency vehicles (Contract # 99999-SPD-ES40199409-003). It was competitively bid by the State of Georgia and expires August 15, 2020. | |
