Title 20. Notification of the Emergency Procurement for the Upgrade of a Cloud-Based Email Archive System from Cumberland Group, LLC in the Amount of $58,709.97 (Event No. 7858)
Strategic Priority Good Government
Description Notification of the emergency procurement for the upgrade of a cloud-based email archive system from Cumberland Group, LLC in the amount of $58,709.97. The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) uses the Barracuda message archive system to provide critical service for email filtering with advanced threat protection. The cloud-based web filtering service protects the integrity of the network and systems and is an upgrade from our current on-premise solution. This was an emergency purchase because the cloud-based archive system was needed for the Office 365 migration which allows City employees to access their email, drives and different data remotely from any computer with their secure credentials. The installation of the system was needed by DoIT to support City employees currently teleworking due to COVID-19.
