This contract is to procure six wood chippers and one stump grinder from Bandit Industries c/o Mason Tractor Company in the amount of $402,866. The Park & Tree Department will utilize the wood chippers to dispose of brush and debris collected during routine tree pruning and removal operations. The stump grinder will be used for hazardous stump removal service. Both types of equipment are also critical to recovery and cleanup operations following storm events. These units will replace existing, aging equipment (units 1230, 1232, 4648, 4649, 3203, 3204 for the wood chippers and unit 1233 for the stump grinder), which are scheduled for replacement in the FY25 Equipment Replacement Plan. Per section 2-4152 of the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, the City may purchase goods or services through the use of a cooperative contract. The contract used for this procurement is a Sourcewell Contract #010925-BAN for Tree care and wood waste recycling, expiring on February 2, 2029. Delivery: As requested. Terms: Net 30 days.
