Motorola Solutions will provide all engineering, project management, materials, installation, testing, and documentation necessary to deliver a code-compliant and fully operational in-building Distributed Antenna System (DAS) in the Air Cargo Facility, Parking Garages, and the Terminal. The DAS is a network of antennas designed to transmit and receive public safety licensed frequencies throughout the structures in compliance with Section 510 of the International Fire Code. These facilities were tested for communication coverage, and the results determined that a two-way emergency responder communication system was required. This system ensures that first responders can communicate clearly within the building during an emergency. This is a sole-source contract as Motorola Solutions provides this service to Chatham County. SAC Project ID 30610 – Air Cargo, SAC Project ID 30659 – Terminal and Parking.
