This contract to procure ballistic vests and tactical gear from TYR Tactical, LLC in an amount not to exceed $81,639. The ballistic vests and tactical gear will be utilized by the Savannah Police Department SWAT Team. SWAT faces numerous extended ballistic threats when responding to calls for service that standard-issue body armor will not protect against. The SWAT team has the necessity of carrying and having quick access to equipment that is vital to their ability to conduct their duties on high-risk operations. SWAT faces such common threats as suspects armed with rifles and at times explosives and standard-issue SPD street armor is not adequate to protect against these threats. The current vests have exceeded their life expectancy for manufacturer warranty. Terms Net 30 days.  Delivery: As requested.
