Recommend approval of Contract Modification No. 1 for generator maintenance at the City's water and wastewater treatment plants with W.W. Williams in the amount of $40,000. The original contract was for maintenance of generators at the City’s President Street Plant, its regional sewer plants and water treatment plants. The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requires each plant to have a back-up power source in the event of an emergency. Routine maintenance inspections on each system are crucial and ensure the systems are always in a ready state. This modification is needed to provide mainatainance services for an additional 37 generators which were not included in the original contract. The Water Supply and Treatment Division will use this contract to provide generator maintenance at wells throughout the City of Savannah. The original contract was approved by Council on June 6, 2019 in the amount of $200,462. The total amount of the contract to date, including this modification, is $240,462.
