Description Recommend approval to renew an annual contract for ready-mix concrete with Complete Precast (Primary) and Savannah River Utilities (Secondary) for up to $200,000. The ready-mix concrete will be used by the Mobility Services Department to provide concrete for various projects within the City. The vendor is responsible for transporting the finished concrete, on demand, in the specific quantity required, directly to the project sites for immediate use. These projects will include, but are not limited to, utility cuts, sidewalks, curbing and roadways. The cost and time of procuring mixing equipment, hiring labor, in addition to purchasing and storing concrete ingredients, which may cause environmental concerns due to the hazards of concrete dust, exceeds the cost of ready-mix concrete. The original contract approved by Council on November 7, 2019. This is the first of three renewals available.
